October felt like it flew by in a blink of an eye for me. From beginning to end, there were so many events and happenings. Where did that month even go? October ended with myself and my husband being in the wedding of two of our dear, sweet friends, Katy and Dan. And what a lovely wedding it was!
The wedding took place at The Allen Farmhaus in New Braunfels. I had never been to this particular wedding venue, and had such a great experience with the venue and its staff! I absolutely loved the chapel, the reception area, the bridal suite… all of it was perfect. I highly recommend this venue, if you’re currently looking for a place to get married.
Katy’s wedding photographer, Camarillo Photo and Film, was scheduled to arrive at two, but us ladies arrived to start getting ready at eleven. I quickly realized that… I put on makeup about 100x quicker than everyone else. I took the free time I had to take some pictures around the bridal suite and some candid shots of the bridal party in the moments when the official photographer was capturing other special memories. In 2020, we would like to start offering videography services, so me and Zak also took a few candid videos that I’m excited to compile together. Obviously we were a LITTLE busy doing other things during the ceremony and reception, so no pictures from the main event ;).
Katy and Dan’s wedding was so perfectly “them”. I wouldn’t expect anything less from these two humans, but I was incredibly impressed by how smoothly the whole day went. Katy looks absolutely stunning. There were so many sweet details and tiny things that Katy thought of. From our amazing viking ale drinking horn bridal party gifts to the adorable cake topper, Katy and Dan really outdid themselves.
