It’s officially 2025!! Which means… I’m finally getting around to posting this beautiful wedding at Casa Blanca Wedding Venue in Round Rock from Spring 2024 (hey, I never claimed to be punctual in my blog posts). Before this wedding, I was a little bit worried that the party would die down before the sendoff. It was a Wednesday event with a smaller guest count, and that usually means it will end up being a pretty relaxed affair. Um… FULLY not the case with this group. It was a joyful party from start to finish, and it did NOT disappoint.
Ana looked absolutely STUNNING, no question. Her hair and makeup was absolutely flawless. The dress? gorgeous. I really loved her bridal shoes and had to look them up after the wedding, haha. Bo’s bolo tie, beautiful jewelry, and she even gave me a sweet gift (a Peruvian chocolate that I still think about today, it was so good). The pre ceremony moments went very smoothly. Ana had a great vision for the day, and Eclipse Events Co. executed it with ease.
I love seeing how dads react to seeing their daughters in their wedding dresses for the first time. They all react differently, from mild to full on tears. I loved this father’s reaction because you can tell he’s just so full of JOY. His pride was written all over his face. The layout at Casa Blanca makes it really smooth to execute first looks and special moments like this. Speaking of first looks… have you read my post about First Looks and First Look Alternatives?
I love love love the ceremony space at Casa Blanca. Ceremony sites can be really tricky, because sometimes it’s super sunny outside, sometimes it’s cloudy, sometimes the grass is green, sometimes not… Casa Blanca’s space is consistent. The shade trees keep the lighting fairly consistent, and the artificial turf keeps the grass looking green year around (and not mucky from rain). Casa Blanca in general is a really well laid out venue.
Okay I promise this post isn’t going to be all about Casa Blanca haha, but another thing I like about the venue is that there are a ton of different portrait locations! The building casts a nice shade over the back of the building, for a smooth, even light. The field area is canopied in trees with light peeking through. And I loved the way sunset photos turned out, with that golden hour light in the area near the ceremony space.
The bride wanted to share her Peruvian heritage with their guests, so there were these cute little pouches at each seat with the most delicious Peruvian chocolates inside. This is also what the couple gifted me (so sweet!). Ugh, I can’t remember the name of them now though! I’m going to need to scroll through photos in my phone back a year to find the shot I took of them to remember how bomb they were.
Ana’s mom and dad were AMAZING dancers, so they did a dance together for the couple during specialty dances. I absolutely loved Ana’s parents, they were so energetic and warm. I love seeing couples with grown children still looking madly in love and enjoying themselves <3. The traditional Peruvian dance they did really set the scene for the absolute PARTY that was yet to come.
Like I mentioned earlier, weekday weddings tend to be intimate, quieter weddings. There’s nothing at all wrong with that, but my experience is that things don’t get too crazy. Um, definitely wrong with this crowd 😂. This wedding kept the energy going up until the sendoff. You can tell Ana and Bo know how to have a fun time, and their guests matched that vibe.
This was a first for me, and I LOVED it! The bride and groom did their grand sparkler exit, but at the end of the line of guests, they took a shot together from a shot ski! I love the way these photos looked, and it was such a fun idea! Here is the company where they purchased it from, if you want one too. The perfect way to end one party of a wedding. Also, I love that the lights from the trees at Casa Blanca matches the color temperature of the sparklers… random detail, heh.
