Welcome in. This is the place where I share wedding recaps and inspiration, engagement session ideas, and a little glimpse into the life of a wedding photographer and mom. I hope you enjoy reading and seeing ALL the pretty!
I recently had the pleasure of getting to capture this AMAZING wedding at Woodbine Mansion! If y’all know me, you know that I absolutely love bright colors, but specifically, I love pink. I’ve always been in love with everything pink. Growing up, my room was pink. My living room when I lived on my own was pink. A lot of my closet is pink. Morganite engagement rings? Sign me up. My Crocs are pink. I’m completely tickled that I have a daughter that is obsessed with unicorns so I can buy her tons of pink shit. Anyway, Mallory’s pink vision for her wedding was a DREAM for me, because yes girl, I love pink too.
Mallory and Shane had twelve bridesmaids and groomsmen! Normally, this is something that can scare me a bit (and I definitely definitely recommend a second photographer, if you have a large wedding party), but this crew was actually super easy to work with and everyone was happy and pleasant throughout the day!
The vendor team seriously made this wedding into such a beautiful, springy and colorful wedding. Woodbine Mansion was the perfect backdrop for it, with the clean white canvas just waiting to be decoration. Callan (the wedding coordinator) put together everything flawlessly, and PDA (the band) SERIOUSLY brought the party.

Mallory had a huge crew of ladies by her side at Woodbine Mansion! Sometimes, larger wedding parties can be a bit more difficult to manage. Thankfully, this was NOT a problem with this group! Everyone was super organized, kind, and supportive of this bride-to-be. They all wore pink matching pajamas, and coordinating pink bridesmaid dresses that looked SO good together (see below, of course)!
Just a little side note, these gorgeous mirrors throughout Woodbine Mansion are actually original to the home! I’m going to paraphrase the story from a video the venue posted, but basically all of the mirrors were sold off a long time ago. Then when the new owners purchased Woodbine Mansion to turn it into a wedding venue, the purchased the mirrors back. Such a cool piece of history!
Mallory made us this cute little certificate of adoption for her doggy, Blair, to give to Shane (along with a letter). You’ll see Blair in a lot of photos! She is obviously a very important part of their life, and absolutely the cutest little doggo ever. I love this adoption certificate idea!
I mean… a moment for this GORGEOUS coordinating bridesmaid set! Everyone looked so great. I love that they were able to wear colors that flattered them each individually. From a light champagne to the brightest pink, I loved this!! And Cone Flower Designs did a spectacular job with their pink floral bouquets!
Woodbine Mansion has a few different ceremony spaces, and Mallory and Shane chose the front of the building. This location makes a bold and beautiful statement, but I think it’s reserved for smaller guest counts (I might be wrong!). I’ve also shot wedding on the side under the wisteria. Both are lovely :).
I love that Mallory and Shane had their getaway car available to photograph after the ceremony! It’s nice to get photos with your getaway car at the actual getaway, of course, but I love when we’re able to shoot with it during the day as well! 4 Leaf Limo provided this lovely transportation.
I don’t think I need to mention that I’m obsessed with this reception decor, but I’m going to anyway. I love all things bright and colorful, but my soft spot is definitely pink. Mallory and Shane went ALL OUT with the pink at their Woodbine Mansion wedding, and it turned out perfectly!! I love the blue china and good accents. The team really did an amazing job with this.
I’ve worked with PDA a few times, and they’re a BLAST. If you want your guest dancing and singing and having the best time ever, PDA is for you. They are very interactive and always passing the microphone to guests and dance like there’s no tomorrow. Their song choices are crowd pleasers. And somehow last on the list, they are extremely talented!! 10/10 recommend them. This is not a paid advertisement.
