Welcome to my blog! I know blogs aren't as common as they were in the past, but this place is jam packed with wedding recaps and inspiration, engagement session ideas, and a little glimpse into the life of a wedding photographer and mom. I hope you enjoy reading a little and seeing ALL the pretty!
Last Fall (yes, this is how far behind I am on posting new blogs) I had the pleasure of photographing Allyson and Taylor’s wedding at River Road Chateau in Anna, TX. Anna, TX is north east of Dallas, if you aren’t familiar with the area. They were one of the couples that booked me while I lived in Dallas in 2019! I shot their engagement session while very, very pregnant with Luke (who is now approaching year old).
Anyway, I love these two. I feel like I gush about every couple I shoot, but Allyson and Taylor are so sweet! They were incredibly kind to me, but they are also just incredibly sweet to each other. You can tell Taylor just absolutely adores Allyson, and I love hearing about the thoughtful things he’s done for her. And Allyson was so kind and relaxed! I can’t imagine either of these two having a mean bone in their bodies.
River Road Chateau is a super cool venue! I love when wedding venues have a lot of different elements and spaces, and River Road Chateau definitely fits the bill. They have a lovely separate house on the property that the girls got ready at (and I believe you’re able to have some guests stay here). The outdoor ceremony space is tucked away behind trees across a secret little bridge. Then there’s a really cool garden-ish area with an archway made of greenery, and a gazebo that was perfect for night portraits. I’m not going to lie, I was TIRED from running around this huge space, but I’d love to go back and explore more! I feel like the possibilities at this venue are endless.
I edited these photos slightly different than I normally do, but they still have that light and bright vibe to them. Wishing these two the best in life, and it was so great getting to be your wedding photographer!
