Venue: Casa Blanca on Brushy Creek

Tara and Aaron! These two were one of my first wedding couples I booked, ages and ages ago. They booked very far in advance (smart!), and then covid hit and they rescheduled to even further out. So I’ve been looking forward to their wedding for quite some time.

This lovely wedding took place at Casa Blanca on Brushy Creek in the suburbs outside of north Austin. It was conveniently a hop, skip, and a jump from my house, which is super rare! Usually I travel quite a distance for weddings, but this venue is about ten minutes from my house.

This was my first time shooting here, and I LOVE it! Casa Blanca is such a pretty venue! It ended up being the perfect spot for a “covid” wedding, because it had nice covered patios for those that wanted to maintain their distance, but also an indoor area for the adventurous ones that wanted to dance. They had an artificial turf at the ceremony site, which I actually really liked. It had rained the day prior and the surrounding grass was still a bit damn, but the ceremony space stayed nice to walk on.

This was also my first time working with Becca Paige as a second shooter, and I’m super lucky to have met her! She’ll definitely be on my list of people to hire in the future, she was excellent to work with.

Tara and Aaron are so sweet. They ended up having an absolutely adorable baby girl when their wedding got rescheduled, so she got to make an appearance at the wedding! They seem like wonderful parents, and Aaron was such a proud papa to his little girl.
