Welcome to my blog! I know blogs aren't as common as they were in the past, but this place is jam packed with wedding recaps and inspiration, engagement session ideas, and a little glimpse into the life of a wedding photographer and mom. I hope you enjoy reading a little and seeing ALL the pretty!
I’m a bit behind on my blogging, so I’m going back a few months to Brittany and Kyle’s wedding at Vintage Oaks Ranch! This was my second wedding at Vintage Oaks Ranch, and it was so great to be back! I live very far north in the Austin area (I’m in Georgetown) that it’s almost as close to go into the Waco area as it is to go into Austin and the hill country venues. Vintage Oaks Ranch is just such an easy venue to photograph. There’s tons of lovely trees, a nice open area, and a few cute elements like a water tower and the building itself. I’ve been very lucky that both weddings I’ve shot at Vintage Oaks Ranch have had wonderful weather, but I think even if the weather took a bad turn, it would still be an easy venue to find a variety of shooting spots in. I hope to be back again and get the chance to find new little secret spots!
It’s rare these days that I haven’t seen a couple before their wedding (because we’re all so good at doing Zoom now!), but I hadn’t met Brittany and Kyle prior to their big day. They ended up being such a sweet, easygoing couple! I love getting to know different couples through my job, and you can learn a lot about people’s personalities by how they’re acting during such a big event (I mean that in a good way, always!). Brittany and Kyle were both just so relaxed. They both have such a calm energy about them, and it seemed like they complimented each other so well.
I’ve been trying to be better about cutting down how many photos I post in blogs but… I’m not doing a very good job at it. So, enjoy a bajillion photos of Brittany and Kyle’s wedding at Vintage Oaks Ranch!
